Meet Our Trainers!
Suzanne Ehr
Head Trainer

Our head instructor here at Rivendell, Suzanne
grew up riding in Florida under the direction of trainer Paddy Downing-Nyegard
and Pat Anderton.

She started her riding career on several USEF (AHSA) recognized circuits where she showed several of her show horses starting with the short stirrup division all the way up to the children’s
hunter division in Florida.

At the age of 13 Suzanne moved here to Michigan with her family. She rode and competed as a junior for several years at a show barn in West Michigan where she had a successful junior show career,
and enjoyed showing in the equitation and
medal classes.

After her junior years of riding she became
a professional, and kept very busy teaching
lessons to all levels of riders and bringing
clients and project horses to the many
horse shows hosted in the Midwest.

Suzanne also enjoys the process of starting and
finishing young prospect horses for the world of hunter/jumpers, and always has several youngsters in her training program.

Suzanne likes teaching her riders theimportance
of good equitation and being skillful in their equitation and medal classes.

She enjoys teaching all ages, and all levels of
hunter/jumper riders, and attends several different hunter/jumper show circuits. She believes that riding should not only be fun, but a good way for people to learn about horsemanship, sportsmanship and teamwork that all come along with riding.
